It won't make the Billboard Top 100.

My husband and I were watching television yesterday and a tampon commercial came on.

What is it with tampon commercials anyway? I genuinely do not understand why the people who make tampons, pads, and the individuals who own Wal-Mart feel the need to advertise. I mean, if you are a girl you have to use tampons or pads. It's like advertising air.

And Wal-Mart? Judging by the Wal-Mart here? Everyone is already there anyway. Why bother?

Anyway.

The tampon commerical (and I can't remember the brand) stated that it was the "NEW CARDBOARD!" version.

I was a bit puzzled by this and watched in fascination.

After the commercial was over, I looked at Jason and asked, "Who would want a cardboard tampon?"

And he replied, "Not my baby! My baby wants a...SMOOOOOOOTH APPLICATOR! Smooth applicator!"

(Sung to the tune of: Smooth Operator. By Sade.)

My life is Freaking Brilliant.

I agree with BritMum. It's time to start putting up videos of your funny hubby. (Does anyone besides my mom say "hubby" anymore? How cheesy.)

Loved your post about your dad, too. Any man I've known who's served in Vietnam does NOT talk about it. I've heard that they just saw so many awful things and want to forget about it and not drag their family down with it.

Take care, Chick.

What scares me is that I could go on and on in my comment here, as I have lots of thoughts about the crud that is a cardboard applicator versus the smooth pearl kind that just ease in.

But I won't. 'Cause then I'd be kind of scary.

HAHA, I agree. I always laugh at the Playtex sport comercials....really, that's more than I needed to know....yes, we'aren't all that flexible....but playtex is.

Isn't it funny how everything in life can be turned into a song...or revised song lol

While I agree that I don't get the idea behind tampon commercials.

I DO ONLY USE TAMPAX CARDBOARD applicators.

Any other brand of tampon does not work for me.

TMI I know..it could have been much worse.

HA. Funny!

Mine don't have applicators...I like it straight and to the point.

OMG. Hilarious.

But at least you KNOW he listens to you when you say, "And DONT FORGET to get the PLASTIC applicator!" as he runs for the store and you figure out what to do for 20 minutes until he comes back and you sit there wondering madly at yourself that you couldnt believe you ran out of tampons...

Please tell me I am not alone here?!
