Not to burst your bubble I do believe they were looking for the goddess who married Jason of Jason and the Argonauts fame.
where they went wrong is that he didn't marry a goddess. He was married to a sorceress Medea who was granddaughter of the god Helios.
My oldest son's name is Jason. And I have a thing for mythology and history. So yeah. Font of useless knowledge--right here!
