Also? I need new pants.

I am pleased that my pants are so large on me that I do not have to unbutton them to remove them. It makes things quite handy.

However, I am NOT pleased that I look like I'm sporting clown pants.

AND, I'm cheap as Hell and don't want to put a lot of cashola in pants. Not now, nor ever, but especially NOT NOW because I'm still losing weight. At a snail's pace, apparently, but whatever.

So. What to do?

Find a seamstress and have them alter them for you!

depends on where you live i guess but around here we have a store that is a second hand store but all the clothes are from really expensive brands,

so you can get pants from really nice stores for cheap

that or outlets.
good luck!

safety pins and velcro?

LOL sorry, I'm no help! Keep us posted, though - I'm having the same joy/problem. Best wishes!

eddiebauer.com has a sale on. I find cheap stuff on oldnavy.com. I would say aim for stretchy pants a size smaller than you need. You should still be able to breathe and they'll last you a few sizes as you lose weight. :)

Stretchy pants, sales, thrift stores, and a good seamstress just about covers it. All it is good advice.

First of all, you're a total rock star for losing the weight!!! :)

Secondly - is there a ROSS by you? I love that freaking store, and there's none in Michigan. I always find good cheap stuff there!

I haunted the consignment stores on my way down. And I got into skirts, because I could always pin them tighter at the waist, get more time out of them.

And, if I recall correctly, it was an awesome problem to have!

Just get a couple pairs of cheap ones until you are at your goal.

Way to go!

Congrats on your clothes not fitting. Isn't it a great feeling?

Get a seamstress... sounds like your going to need one.

GOODWILL. That's all I gotta say. I'm an addict. You gotta go alone. You gotta have some time on your hands. Losin' weight from having the baby has made me want to pull my hair out, but I refuse to buy clothes til I'm done. I also refuse to wear Jordache, Faded Glory, or Gloria Vanderbilt just cuz they have my size...I promise you I've ONLY bought Gap, Levi's, and Old Navy. AND IN MY SIZE!!

Umm...can I just say that I wish I had your problem! I think getting some stuff from Goodwill until you get to your goal size would be a good idea.

M.C. Hammer just got a reality show. I predict clown pants will be back in style shortly ;)

Definitely get yourself some new threads. You more then deserve it for losing the weight and you are going to love the way you look in clothes that actually fit!

I am happy to say- I am having the same problem!! I am down 48 pounds since the first of the year! Since I apparently forgot the way to my own blog, I am telling everyone here.

Do something, anything to celebrate that weight loss! Yay for you!

If your pants are THAT loose, you run a serious risk of flashing all and sundry should, say, a small niece tug on Aunty Steph's pant leg...

Buy a new pair of pants, even just one. You'll feel happier every time you wear them.

I remember that feeling, of not wanting to spend money when I was planning to lose more. But even investing in just a couple of new pairs can make you feel great once you see yourself in clothing that actually fits. Then you can get too skinny for those and feel proud about that too. Just don't buy really expensive stuff...

Go. Get. New. Pants.

Get some that fit great and look great and make you feel great. And then when they're too big? Laugh and toss 'em and Go. Get. New. Pants. again.

Your clothes need to fit. They should make you feel great.

I have the EXACT same problem. Seriously! I look like a clown all day for 5 days a week. I have been shopping at the Salvation Army and second hand stores to find some pants and shirts at really low prices. I too am still losing weight so I don't want to spend a pretty penny on some pants/shirts when in a month they won't fit again.

Congrats on your weightloss, very very cool when the pants are too big. Hmm might want to pick up some cheap pants at walmart or any of the above wonderful suggestions :)

One of the best things I did for myself when I was losing weight was buying a pair (or 2)of pants that fit really well and that I felt good in. It really helped me keep going...and 90 lbs takes a long time to lose. Even if I did gain 20 back.

Try Target or Old Navy - get one or two that go with everything and just wear the heck out of them... Good luck!

Since you're still losing weight, I'd go to Old Navy (or Target or Walmart) and buy some cheap yoga pants. Hell, I wore them throughout my pregnancy - up and down 40 lbs - and STILL wear them.

Or get yourself a belt.

I totally feel you. My pants are fluctuating like crazy lately.

Only pretty much in the OTHER direction.

This is why I keep four different sizes in my closet at all times.

me too!! yay!! So, what I did (which wasn't all that good of a solution) was go get a belt and then just FORCE the pants to fit. Although that left about 6 inches of extra fabric fluttering out of the belt...and that wasn't very pretty either. :)

congrats!!! You inspire me!

I'm in the same boat, but they told me at work the other day I HAVE to get new pants because they almost fell off me. LOL

Keep up the good work, you rock!!!
