This morning, while we were eating waffles.
Boy Child: OWWW! CRAP! I bumped my leg on the table.
Girl Child, in her best Nelson-the-bully-from-The-Simpsons voice: HA-HA!
Boy Child: Girl Child! It really hurts.
Girl Child: Okay, okay. You'll be fine. Focus on the good things in life. Focus on your waffle! Think only of the waffle!
Boy Child, a few moments later: That really worked, Girl Child. I feel better now.
If only it were that easy for me.

I'm serious. Your kids should write sit coms, cause they are funnier than half the crap that's on tv. I wish I could Tivo them all day. I'd snarf drink out my nose on a daily basis.
I love how your kids rally for each other, it's so cute!
I will be printing out those words and plastering them on my wall at the office.
"The waffle. . .think only of the waffle."
Those kidfolk have a lot to teach the world I think.
I wish thinking of the waffle could fix all that's heavy in your heart now too. xoxoxo
Wouldn't it be nice if waffles could make us all a little more happy.
I wish it worked for me, too.
That only works for me if I have plenty of Maple Syrup.
Those two are hilarious!!
If only we could just focus on our yummy waffles when things hurt to make everything alright!
I love your kids!
lol too funny! Gotta love sibling friendships. She reminded me of a doctor with one of her patients laying back on a coach lol.
ok, seriously? You have the coolest kids ever. No contest with anyone else. You/they win. I love them and I don't even know their names!
What a great mama they must have, to become so awesome. :D
I love them! I swear I could read stories about Boy Child and Girl Child all day long.
Waffles can solve any problem.
