Because I need my own BOB...

Last night we got TiVo.

Okay, total lie. On Christmas day, 2006 my husband opened up the box containing the TiVo DVR. Last night he set it up. Only 10.2 months later. Probably? Only because I told him if he didn't set it up I would be wrapping it again and he would also be getting it for Christmas 2007.

I should totally be a motivational speaker. It worked like a charm.

So anyway, I haven't quite figured out this whole TiVo thing. But I have figured out the following:

1) My husband? Not a good listener. I said to him at least eleven hundred times, "The book says that it has to be connected directly to the television." Did he listen to me? No. Finally? Once he hooked it to the television? It worked.

2) I enjoy cartoons way, way to much.

3) I can sit right here? At my desk? And order up the TiVo to tape Judge freaking Judy.

How cool is that?

In a few months, if I stop blogging? You can blame TiVo.

I might need a 12 step program.

Oh my, I love my Tivo soooooo much. I often compare it to the joys of having a newborn baby, it completely changes you and you will never know how you lived a full life before it. Tivo, if I haven't told you enough lately " You complete me"

Actually, I find that my DVR has freed up my time. I don't have to rush to make any of my shows. I can watch them after the kids go to bed and the rest of my crap is done.

It's makes the boob tube more quality for sure. AND we hardly rent movies anymore.

Oh, my LORD. You've had it that long & have lived without it? My hub is Mr. Gadget personified. We've had one since about two weeks after they came out (4 or 5 years now) and now we've got 3. Can't live without it.

We don't have a TiVo, but we have a DVR. And? I couldn't live without the thing. My life depends on it! :)

Yeah, definitely one of the best technological inventions ever! Just be careful, because soon you'll notice that you have all sorts of shows recorded and can't remember why... my favorite is when I'm SITTING ON THE COUCH and suddenly get the urge to exercise... so I record some work out shows on FitTv.

Hey Chick! Tivo is the most amazing thing ever! Just be careful because it will suck up all your free *night* time and your hubby will go to bed without you. LOL

BOB as in Battery Operated Boyfriend(in the dirty way?)

I am SOOOO jealous. I have 6 VCR tapes (old school!) waiting for me to rewind and watch. Wish I could join the modern world. Enjoy your new toy!

I need Tivo. Then I could stop arguing with my hubby about what to watch all the time

Oh Tivo! It is the greatest invention ever. Way better than electricity or the television.

What do you mean there wouldn't be Tivo without those two things?

Tivo is great.

However, you not blogging?

Not so great.
