I'm doing fine.

Jason talked to his grandma last night. She asked him, "How is your bride?"

He thought that was kind of funny. I figured she probably couldn't remember my name. (Which is fine...she's kind of old)

But...am I still a bride? We've been married almost five years.

Maybe I want to still be a bride. Especially if it means people will send me gifts. Oh, and cake. Definately cake.

I think it's an older people thing. People at church, when I'm not there, ask Mark how his "bride" is. Meaning me, I hope. I think it's cute.

Um, I hate to burst your bubble, but you will have to provide your own bridal cake. As well as share it with us. ;)

Does Jason's Grandma make a good cake? Maybe you should visit her! Don't forget your name tag though. ;)

Mmmmm cake. I have the world's best slice of chocolate cake sitting in my kitchen right now. If you lived in Houston, I'd let you come over and share it with me. But only because it is a HUGE slice. I am greedy with my cake.

I'm with you on the cake. Except for the moment. Because I'm DIETING. Must lose at least 15 pounds before my trip home this summer!

I listen to a morning radio show that has a married couple as the DJ team. The male DJ always says, "My name is John and this is my lovely bride Sherry." They have been married for years, but when he says it, one can almost imagine that he is looking at her they way he did that day when she walked down the aisle. I think it is really endearing!

Yes, you are and will always be his bride.

I still refer to my wife as my lovely bride. Because, you know, she is.

Now, smile for the pictures.

Blessings.

This is lovely. There's a specific reason why I call my husband "Groom" on my blog, btw. He still makes me feel the magic of being loved that hard, even nine years in to our gig.

If that's what it means, then, I too, am still a bride.
