I was thinking.
While the rant was warranted and while I have every single right to have my rants, I still have to have a job. And an excellent blogger emailed me and said that some people in her office had found her blog, complained on her, and she had to take down her blog. Which sucks and is really not fair, but I understand why she did it.
Until my big book deal/Queen of the world gig comes through? I have to have money. So I can't get fired.
Also? I spent three hours last night with the Girl Scouts.
And there is something very calming and centering about being with young people who are excited about something you are excited about.
Honestly, last week at work was one of the worst of my life. It was miserable in so many ways.
And I didn't even think about it once, while I was talking with the girls and the moms and the other volunteers.

Good call, I don't know if any of my co-workers have ever found my blog, but I realize it could happen, and keep that in mind whenever I feel compelled to post anything work related. But I really do like my job and most of the people I work with, which makes a huge difference!
It sucks when our personal lives can interfere with our professional. Sucks when you can't say what you want on your own blog. But, you did the right thing.

My hubby found an employee write about him on her myspace. She was fired because of the death threat and all....

sorry I missed it, but it sounds like you made a good choice.
It sucks your job is so rough lately. I definitely don't miss those aspects of working. I think you made the right choice in deleting your post, though in a fair world you wouldn't have to.
And if/when/whether you pray shouldn't be brought into play in the workplace. What an asshole.
Hey, keep in mind that Dooce got fired for her blog, and she's really rich now, with both hubby and her living off her blog. And we all know that you're funnier than Dooce (and I say that being a big Dooce fan, so you should know that compliment actually MEANS something!)
