Book Meme: Stolen from Badgergirl

My sweetiegirl Badgergirl over at Pardon the Egg Salad left this meme for us to enjoy while she's out bebopping along in California. If I didn't love her so much, I would be SO JEALOUS.

Also? I miss her and hope she's having the BEST TIME EVER.

On with the meme:

1. Grab the nearest book.

2. Open the book to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

5. Don’t search around and look for the “coolest” book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.

I'm a huge nerd and the book I picked is called Ciao America! by Beppe Severgnini.

I have no idea why I own this book.

Page 123, sentence 5 is:

For example, the name of a used-car showroom, NU2U reads "New to You" or the phrase You Can rendered in a cartoon by a drawing of a tin can with the letter U written on the front.

Seriously, I have no idea why I own this book.

If you want to play along, grab a book and either post your line here in the comments, or post it on your page and leave me a link!

okay, here goes. . .

My husband is into genealogy. His books are next to the computer. I grabbed the book, "Shaking Your Family Tree"

p. 123. . . 5th sentence:

"The amounts $22.17, $7.39, and $3.69 represent one-sixth, one-eighteenth, and one-thirty-sixth, respectively, of $133.01."

Word.

ooh, book meme! Fun! Ok, closest book is "Shopaholic and Baby" by Sophie Kinsella.

Turns out there isn't a 5th sentence on p.123, so you're getting the last 'sentence' instead.

"3. Olly Bricknell princess shoes, green, size 39."

Cool. I love princess shoes.

Yeah. Sad.
