Warning label I probably did not need.

On my box of Uristat (the stuff for my hoo-ha, in case you were wondering):

Phenazopyridine may cause a harmless, orange-red coloring of the urine and other body fluids. Staining of contact lens and clothing that comes in contact with body fluids may occur.

Does this really need to be said? Do THAT many people pee this orangeish red horror and then think, "Oh, let me just stick my finger into my eye and adjust that real quick before I wash my hands! I handle my cootch all the time and nothing bad has ever happened."

Holy Britney in a Barber Shop. Are we really all that crazy?

Well. One time I saw a lady leave the lady's washroom without washing her hands. So maybe they put that on there for 'her' benefit. But I'm thinking if people don't wash their hands after handling their...erm...umm....cootch..snicker....then maybe a little eye irritation would be a good punishment for them.

Since I work in drs offices and immediate care clinics I can with confidence say yes we really are that crazy...or there really are people who are that crazy...and now I dont want to discuss what I've seen people do anymore....

No. Chick. Seriously.
Phenazopyridine can add that beautiful orange tinge to tears just as it does to urine. Too subtle to notice (hopefully!) but it can stain your lenses.

How can you still be so funny when you feel so crappy?

You took it in an entirely different direction than I was thinking. You thought of the finger as the conduit. I was wondering...red urine....contacts...how many people are peeing on someone else's head?!?!

Whew! Good thing I have such low self-esteem or I might be really embarrassed right now.

LOL way too funny!! It amazes me the stuff they write warnings on!! For example...McDonalds Coffee: Caution contents are HOT...WELL DUR!! Unfortunately some people are morons and greedy and will SUE over anything! One would think it is common sense!!

I crack up often at the warnings on products. You KNOW someone did exactly what they're warning you of :)

this is why men do not have hoo-has!

Forget not washing your hands! Hell, you'd have to either pee on your freakin hand or stick your damn hand in the toliet!! WTF!

I didn't think of tears either. I guess I don't think of tears and pee as in the same category, but they are both bodily fluids.

People don't wash their hands...that is exactly why I am afraid to touch bathroom door knobs!

Freakin' hooha's. This is an epidemic, I tell you! Mine is on the fritz too. Time for a tune-up maybe. I don't know. Are they talking to each other in this rebellion? My hooha and your hooha planning this big coup to take over the world? Attack of the Vaginas! Oh! The HORROR! Oh! The Humanity! Won't someone STOP these vessels of terror???

And. People are that stupid. Talk about a telltale sign that you're hygienically challenged.

HA HA HA HA HA! I am still laughing. Ah, thanks, Chick. You're always good for a late night laugh.

That sums it up.

That's as scary as the warning labels on kids pajamas about them being flammable.

Really? No kidding? I've thrown Kyle into MANY fires and he never went up in flames.

Here's your sign.

I am with my4kids...you see some strange things people do in these clinics!

I was so busy trying not to imagine how contacts would be turned red-orange, that I didn't think of tears, either.
It really is pathetic how many warnings are in place because of the bone-headed things people do. Good for a laugh, though!

Actually, the warning label that Usept (similar product) should contain is: May stain your urine flourescent blue, making you think your dream of being kidnapped and experimented upon by aliens actually happened.

Because really...that is just so NOT RIGHT...the peeing blue thing.

OMG...I just spit out my coffee reading your post...you're hilarious!!!

Actually, if the kidneys are not filtering stuff properly, the dye in the Phenazopyridine can stay in the body and show up as discoloring the whites of the eyes (and contacts) or even the skin or nails! That's how it can discolor contact lenses. Freaky, no? =)

Thought you might like to know!! hehe
Love your blog!
