Practical thinking.

Last night, my son said,

"Mom? Do you want to know this?"

Never really knowing what he wants to say, but always wanting to know what he has to say? It's a fun life.

Chick: "What?"

Boy Child: "Well, you know in that game I have? The Haunted Mansion? I've been through all the levels mom. And it's a mansion. And you know that mansion means REALLY BIG HOUSE? And so it's like nine levels. And do you know what else?"

Chick: "What?"

Boy Child, eyes wide: "There are NO BATHROOMS. Anywhere!"

Chick: (Hysterical laughter)

Boy Child: "Why are you laughing?"

Chick, attempting to regain composure as this is clearly a serious issue and one that is weighing heavily on the boy child: "I don't know!"

Boy Child, nodding: "They must have to squeeze their cheeks ALL the TIME."

Chick: "Okay, well, now it's time for bed!"

I did manage to wait until he left the room to laugh. I did.

tell him that ghosts can't consume food or beverage, so they don't need bathrooms. That being the case, they had the house renovated for more useful things such as libraries... 'cause reading is important even to ghosts.... bet they don't have a kitchen, either

First off, I love that game. But for some reason I am thinking we are not talking about the same game...

And who says kids zone out while playing video games? Clearly your son is using his noggin! : ) He sounds like me when I watch 24. Ever noticed they NEVER eat or go to the bathroom all day? Guess they squeeze their cheeks also!

It's funny that he even noticed that there were no bathrooms!! LMAO!

That is definitely something that your boychild would notice... and that most adults would not notice.

Also... 'all alongs'. Are those the low-fat oatmeal cinnamon-y ones (we call those 'cartwheels' here)? Because I also have half a box at home that only the dog seems really excited about.

I *heart* boy child. I hope my monster is half as funny and bright as yours. Actually, I hope she is just as funny/bright, but would settle for half. ;)
