Seriously. The best thing I've ever given away.

Okay, you know I'm a die hard, Weight Watcher right?

And it's working for me, you guys. I'm making really smart decisions. I'm exercising. I'm feeling really good.

And Weight Watchers? Seriously. It's not hard. Yes, sometimes it's crappy when I can't eat a metric ton of brownies, but actually? I don't need a metric ton of brownies. So figuring that out is really good also.

Weight Watchers has a really awesome campaign going now called Lose for Good. Here are the deets:

For every pound lost with Weight Watchers during a six-week period, beginning September 7 and ending October 18, Weight Watchers will donate the cost of one pound of food -- up to one million dollars. The funds will go to two hunger-fighting organizations: Share Our Strength, which works to make sure no child in America grows up hungry, and Action Against Hunger, which provides immediate and long-term solutions for hunger to people around the world.

Now. Isn't that awesome?

And here's a wonderful part. I get to give away two free three month memberships to Weight Watchers online!

I'll be blogging more about this in the upcoming weeks, but I wanted to get the word out. The sooner the winners are named and can get the subscriptions going, the sooner you can start Losing for Good!

Wanna win? Just leave me a comment on this post before midnight EST on Thursday the 18th. I'll randomly chose two winners on Friday, September 19th.

Good Luck!

I think it's so great you're doing this. Weight Watchers is a real life choice and teaches people the fundamentals on how to make good choices, portion control, and the lifelong commitment to being healthy, not just looking good.

I did it for years, so you can count me out of the contest but I wanted to add my 0.02$!

What a great campaign!

I'd love to win the subscription. I've been trying to lose weight lately and it's a struggle. I could use all the help I can get :)

Congrats on your loss!

I seriously need to lose some weight - esp. if we're going to do IVF next year. This would definitely help me get back on the WL bandwagon!

I recently found your site and just love it.

I would love to win a membership. I have never officially done WW, but I have an old book and have tried the points system before. I lost 40 lbs and then got pregnant. That was 4 years ago. I have been wanting to join as it is so easy, but I just can't afford it right now.

Thanks for the opportunity.

I am entering for my friend Cristina. She did Jenny Craig before her wedding one year ago and lost 40 pounds, now she has gained it all back, except this time with knee problems and no event to motivate her to lose. And no extra money to pay for the program.

She needs to lose 75 pounds in total to be a safe weight for her frame and I know WW will help her.

:o)

I joined the online WW a few years ago and did rather well. I have lapsed and am now pretty fluffy. I would be willing to try again. Their campaign for the hungry is fabulous and so are you. I wish you well.

Me, me, me! (jumping around) LOL Actually, I don't know if I'm eligible since I live in France (yes, you've got an international fan club!) but I'd love to enter the drawing if I can. I'm struggling with my weight loss right now, but I love seeing your progress, very motivating!!

What a great campaign. Congrats on doing so well with the program. I've been reading for a while and can totally relate with you. You're awesome = )

I've actually done Weight Watcher's online before - loved it! So I'm going to bow out of entering the contest because I learned loads from it already and would love someone who hasn't done it before to have a chance before.

But I wanted to say - way to go Chick!

First, I've been reading your blog for the last couple of months and love it! Second, congrats to you for doing so well with the program - it's awesome not only for you but for your family (as they will have you around for many years due to the smart choices you are making). I live in Germany (the land of you can't serve anything unless it is covered in a gravy sauce!) and could use all the help I can get with my own weight loss struggle.

This rocks! My doctor treating my PCOS just reccommended that I go back to WW and I'm all for it. I'm following the plan, but was wondering how I would afford the meetings. Maybe I'll get lucky. :)

Oh, and I've been meaning to comment that I live in Knoxville, too. So, you totally don't know me, but if you need a walking buddy...

Count me in. I've done WW in past, but always got to feelin' and lookin' good before I hit goal and the backslide began. Hubby and I are now recommitted and doing it on our own - a free 3 month membership would help us alot!

A few weeks ago my mother told me I was getting fat. My MOTHER, how sad is that? She's never lied to me before so..... I took a hard look in the mirror and apparently my passion for elastic waistbands hasn't been all about fashion. I can see now that I've been in denial and it's depressing. The Oreos arrived much easier than they're leaving. If I don't get some motivation soon my wish list for Christmas will consist of granny gowns. I've never won anything in my life so I'd love to win to see how awesome that feels and then I'd feel obligated to do my best to show you that you'd picked well, that your gift was not wasted, and therefore I'd lose the weight. I'm excited just thinking about it. I do want to win, really, really bad.

I've followed the Weight Watcher Points Plan for the past 2 years and lost 75 pounds. Due to financial difficulties I had to stop going to meetings a few months ago. 10 pounds magically appeared back on my ass the first month. While I hold more poundage at bay I would dearly love to go back. Please PICK ME!!! I have 20 more pounds to go (at least)
Thanks!!

A family member of mine (who is doing awesome on the weight watchers plan) made a post on her blog letting us all know how great your blog is and how great WW is. I would like to be put in the running for the free membership. I can't even tell you how much I would LOVE to get some help. When I was pregnant, I gained the average 20 to 30 pounds and was still doing okay. Then I ended up with post partum depression and gained about 30 more pounds. It's now been a year later and I'm still having issues. Please consider me. Thanks. :)

I would love to do WW!!! I have done well on it before but dude this economy and being laid off is keeping a sister down. Kudos to you though for losing weight it takes a very strong will ;)

J said...

I would love to do WW, but always put it off b/c of the price. Maybe this is my chance!

Jhianna said...

I'd love to win the WW membership. I keep thinking I should rejoin, but the meetings where we are now are all really inconvenient and not helpful. (My old city had one meeting a week for over 50lbers, and it was awesome. It's tough to go into a meeting where the leader has lost 20lbs, ya know?)

I keep thinking I'll check out the on-line part, but I haven't so far.

Congrats on you for keeping up with all of it and walking.

I could really use some help in reaching my goal, I would love to 'officially' join Weight Watchers!

You rock, what a great contest.

SPONGEMOM SWEATPANTS (formerly Crazy Mama!) said...

I read you every day and never comment. But I comment for a contest entry. I am such a mooch. I NEEEEEED that membership in a bad way. I had my annual woman exam this very morning, where I was given a prescription for phentermine and told by my adorable Chinese OB/GYN "You see me next year, you be little girl. You be new woman! Just watch what you putting in mouth." God help me. Or Weight Watchers. Whatever it takes.
